there isn't any light
Praying to god,
I won't give up my fight

Living in the shadows
mind numbing pain
Praying to god,
to get rid of this endless stain

Barely breathing,
trying to find light
Opening a door,
to find there's no end in sight

Wandering the halls
to escape the thought of him
I have to keep trying,
I won't let him win

Spotting a window
up at the top
I climb up to look,
only to soon drop

He's caught me again
in the grip of his vice
His voice I can tell,
is not naughty nor nice

His eyes are pure evil
his look says it all
Give up your fight,
for soon you will fall

But I will not be broken,
I will find the light
my faith is not shattered
I won't give up my fight [comments] => 4 [counter] => 273 [topic] => 13 [informant] => FireStarter [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

It sounds like a dark inner struggle.

"To get rid of this endless stain" relates to me a heavy past.

There seems to be an emotion on the verge of giving in laced with panic leading to an ultimate desire to win.

Great write, thank you for sharing.
Whatever your struggles are, you will win. Have confidence in that.

"I'm sorry to say this, but we're in the same places.
I know where your faith is, but God remains faceless.
You pray that he' ll save us, I'll let Satan embrace us."

Sorry for putting my twist down here, but if you get a rhyme from me it only means I truly enjoyed the write
