Array ( [sid] => 181672 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Peace [time] => 2015-08-27 18:30:37 [hometext] => Peace is a goal that is hard to achieve, and this poem goes into that mission. [bodytext] => A goal with no finish,
The word starts to diminish,
And we have to refinish,
But there’s no time to replenish.

A goal with one meaning,
Harder to reach than the ceiling,
People keep intervening,
And hate keeps stealing.

A goal for the people,
To point like a steeple,
But there is no more diesel,
We’re equally evil.

A goal that has worth,
For the people on earth,
Since we were in birth,
It’s a tale of dearth.

A goal that is needed,
Words that are seeded,
The people conceded,
But the children have pleaded.

A goal that gets harder,
The more that we try the more it goes farther,
It’s hard for the smarter,
And for us it’s even harder.

A goal that must end,
A message we must send,
A time that we must spend,
A place to attend. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 158 [topic] => 14 [informant] => AmiasDavies [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DreamsandWishes )

I love the style and meaning of this poem. This is inspiring to me. Are you reading my mind not two nights ago I was going to post a poem with this title. It needed to be reworked and edited. I like yours better.

A poem of hope, but a hope that the years deny. I admire your words and your thinking.

I love this one. I was a kid pleading during the Vietnam War.
I still am all the time. Why not use it anytime.
I hold it first as high as any goal.

Really good writing!

Thanks!
Peace!
