i walk down the long and narrow pathways
i walk into the darkest nights, and into the rain
i walk, and i feel no pain...

alone, i walk
i walk where others dare not follow, and will not
i walk against the giant winds, and i feel their blow
i walk where most hearts should not go...

alone, i walk
i walk the bridges over days gone by
i walk the ground that my feet may find
i walk with peaceful thoughts in my peaceful mind...

alone, i walk
i walk in search of you around each and every bend
i walk under the reflections of the sun, and of the sky
i will walk until i find you, or until the day i die... In days gone by I used to walk begging for someone to get in my way. Beaten down by life and much to lose but to blinded by life to understand.

I would never chase a woman until I die however.
A life lesson you learn the hard way.

Great write indeed. Stirs up much emotion.
Bravo

James

Alot of people can relate to this, chasing something and never giving up

I really enjoyed this write. so much truth in it. always searching for something...even facing our biggest fears and searching those places "where most hearts should not go." only to come out of the other side empty handed once again...it's the motivation of hope that helps us to push on and keep going each and every time..

Your poem reminds me of the poem I wrote called 'I walk alone' Your style is solid.
