We'll end up where we want to be; unless of course we know;

That the fences all around us, are of your own design;
And though they may surround us; they don’t, our lives, define!

(You many have a lovely voice; but know that you can’t sing!
As long as you believe that; the fence will keep you in!)

Success does not make arrogance; the opposite it true!
Our ego helps us visualize what we believe we’re due!

Parents, schools and government; religion and employers;
Build fences to define us; and back it up with lawyers!
It’s a daunting challenge to question what is true:
The only voice that matters is the one inside of you!

While most of us will live within the boundaries we’ve contrived;
And when we reach the fenceline; we’ll think that we’ve arrived!
We are what we believe we are; and absent of the nerve;
To question all our fences; we’ll get what we deserve!

Nice poem and well written. Fences do constrict but sometimes they safeguard too. You're on fire. Keep it up

I think I died and went to heaven (big surprise there). Two softerware poems on the same day? Holy barbed wire fence Batman!!!!

This poem should be published and then put on a really cool artwork and hung on the walls of like...every where.

Sometimes fences are obstacles; sometimes they're a defence mechanism. Sometimes they hinder; sometimes they help.

Great write.

Clapping. Smiling. I read alot of poems on here...some okay, some great, some brilliant. I know when I click on yours I will ALWAYS feel better than pre-read.

In our p.m.'s, you are far to humble in your estimation of your talents. Knock down that fence, my Cali bud.

Invierno
