and will they take me on another flight?
over the moon, beyond the planets,
and past our sun...
a voyage to a distant star again?
over and over, further and further,
in a soaring spin...

might they pick me up gently as they do?
take me far away to some place new?
race by comets as we go
match their speed, then speed right through...
they'll apply the magic that they know,
oh, how i hope so...

might the butterflies whisper in my ear?
to tell me that those dragonflies are here
have me pack my bags full this time,
enough to last an earthen year...
oh, how i hope so...

i shall stroll out over the horizon to look for them
for i most enjoy that soaring spin...
i will leave now, and search then
sincerely, your's truly, the end... [comments] => 6 [counter] => 402 [topic] => 25 [informant] => hray42 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => MiscPoems )

Such a strange flyinng creature as the Dragon fly has always made me wonder about such things

This is very cool

I think that if you can find a way to make yourself very very small at just the right time when a Dragon Fly hovers

Zip into the Cargo Bay you go

Soon you meet others just like you

There is a lot of amazing things to see out of all those windows

Maybe you'll even get a chance to drive...

You can only drive very far off into space when you know you're
Really really small

Excellent write!

Peace!

you made me wish I could set out on a great adventure with this..made me want to pack a bag myself and just try to follow the next dragonfly I see. but as my luck always falls I would get lost or distracted and never find my dragonfly again...a magical write. thank you.
