I saw way past skin, I saw what lies within

I opened my eyes, and you know what I saw?
I saw depth and character, the things that truly matter

I opened my eyes and you know what I saw?
People getting to know the man, and because of that, joining hands

I opened my eyes and you know what I saw?
Not a confusion or a separation, but a collaboration

I opened my eyes, and you know what I saw?
It was a medley, a fusion
People, I have come to one conclusion

Shallow thoughts toss em
Try being colorblind, it's awesome

Beautiful write Fox
Super flow and a very pertinent poem
for our time.
One of my favorites from you.
It was crisp and that is GOOD!

Clever play there.

I wonder though; how long were your eyes closed? What caused them to 'open'? What did you see when they were 'closed'?

the answer to those questions would make for some good poetry, if honestly addressed.

thanks for writing this, fox.
