I'm the one who has chosen to hide in the closet
even though I know I'd be welcome on the other side
of it's curtains in another room, maybe the family room
But no ,I prefer the company of close-hangers and my
hidden ti-dye t-shirt I stopped wearing because I thought
that it's bright neon colors would out me and they did
Maybe I'm afraid of coming out of this closet and seeing
a mirror that doesn't allow me to ignore who I really am
The girl who made excuses about not wanting to come out
because she thought that other people might not like her
when really she already hates herself for who she loves
That maybe the only person standing between her and
bring happy is herself, the girl who clings so desperately
to the ideals forced upon her ever since she was young of
a white-picket fence family and a man one day by her side
She struggles to understand why it matters who she loves
but then again she struggles to understand herself too

nice poem

take this advice - you've got to be true to yourself!
hide it from others if you must but trust me you can't hide from yourself!
then when you feel strong enough, when your sure that you want to, then come out.
If they disown you..... well they don't own you!
you own you! that's the point

don't worry yourself enjoy your life!
