Array ( [sid] => 18135 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Jealous Nights. [time] => 2003-05-28 05:35:00 [hometext] => Jealous nights as in the nights are jealous? Or jealous nights as in periods of jealousy? Just something to think about.
The title of this poem was given by my Mr. Saini. [bodytext] => Jealous sands whip through the air
carried by taunting winds.
Glowing in the east horizon
an ominous eye begins to grin.
Rising high up in the dark
looms a flirting face
crying silvery bewitching tears
without a sign of shame nor disgrace.
Every night a different face arises
seductively veiled in different ways
hiding yet enhancing beauty
designed to trap his eyes.
Jealous sands fly with the wind
within the glass of time
but the winds will soon subside
the sands will calmly settle down.
The gold gives shine to the silver,
day gives precedence over night,
golden day belongs to him
alluring night has lost her fight. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 267 [topic] => 49 [informant] => Jessica_Saini [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => mystical )
