[title] => Ode to My Favorite Hiking Boots.
[time] => 2003-05-28 05:05:00
[hometext] => This is a poem about the best pair of shoes I have ever owned. I have exaggerated quite a bit in this poem. The boots aren't in their best shape, but they are still wearable.
[bodytext] => Oh my sweet departed boots, how I loved you so. Why did you give up the sole? Why did you have to go? For many years you’ve kept feet dry from MN to D.C. oh how three years did fly. For three fast years I wore you out from gardens to the lake, from paved streets to mountains. Your patina can’t be faked. Farewell trusty hiking boots I now will let you go. Retire in yonder landfill, where old and mold you’ll grow.
