That gained a mind
A central core
That soon became afraid

The circle then became suspicious
Of all that were surrounding
It then became a sphere
To be wary of all dimensions

The sphere grew restless,
Unsure as to its health
Were it plagued,
It was unable to tell

And so it brought forth eyes
That rose from the dark
That saw light form
In a world that once had none

These eyes, while capable of sight
Knew not what it was they saw
And provided no answer
For the base question of the plight

And then the eyes gained minds
Continuing the quest of answers
They learned nothing of the sort
But provided the sphere with insight

The sphere then learned beauty
From the informative words
Of the eyes it knew and loved
Who had now set their sights above

Together they developed reason
Answers to questions
That even the sphere had n'er asked
An astonishing lesson of perception

And so thanks to these eyes,
The sphere had gained a sense of sight
Vicariously developed
From the colorful words of eyes

Its favorite tale
Was the one of the stars
Delightful glowing orbs
Glistening in silent calls

Soon the sphere reached out
And pulled in the source of its dreams
The shining beacon of hope
Mysterious perfection

But the arrival was unexpectedly serene
There fell a shower of rock and fire
A bombardment of the sphere
And thus it was wiped clean

The sphere then had learned a lesson, one of its own design
To love the eyes it had made, and not the dreams they help it see
And so while the sphere, may have become blind
It will not be forever, for some eyes will now soon be

You don't play Bloodborne do you?
Are you lining your brain with eyes?
I don't want to see any Great Ones!

This is an interesting poem from that point of view.
