Honestly Struggling

Crawling pass my pathetic existence,
Never looking back at the subsistence,
Every time I've looked
Hope always seems to laugh at me,
As I gaze at darkness.
Demon hands caress my feelings,
Trying to understand the layers that are pealing,
Don't bother the effort,
That knowledge was never meant to be,
Rely on no one.
Emotions overtake when the bells start ringing,
Ripples through the water send me seething,
The violent calm was the only thing I've breathed,
Subtle suffocation.

I hate that I like dark poetry so much. But you do it well so it lessens the guilt |
