From zero to one hundred
my mood took a turn for the worse
Sometimes I feel this life I live
is being lived under someone’s curse

So many times
when I try to do something really nice
I am stricken by the words
of a person with feelings as cold as ice

This really drives me crazy
because I have so much good inside
Then my feelings get so choked up
I end up on a “zero to one hundred” ride

Thank God I have some control
over emotions that make me want to scream or shout
It is then that I come to realize
a person so cold isn't worth that honor, no doubt

So keep your words of ice
within your frozen soul
As I smile at you at this moment
I know I have self control

You may have changed my mood for a minute
your cold breathe didn't freeze my soul
I have too much love in my heart
enough to stop an angry moment from allowing you control

I live it daily running an Internet business since 1996

Fine words and well written. You're not alone!

The moment we let others tell us how we feel, we have given up control to them. They are in charge.
Thank you for a chilling reminder that we always have a choice; and we always have more love to give. Hate destroys itself--Love regenerates.
"I have too much love in my heart"..
no such condition! Keep on giving it away!
Thanks for your clarity and wisdom.
Jaye
