Is your ability to live it.
As I grow older
Something weirdly new to me
It no longer has the appeal it once did

The days I wasted in my youth
My trials and tribulations
Have taken a toll on me
My life is what it is
Of no value recycled

The older I grow
The slower I get
Wisdom gained is now lost
Racing to the finish line
The faster I became, the more I was left behind

Aging is so cruel
No matter your age
Hello today, Goodbye tomorrow
Always in search of something
But often ending in sorrow

The folly of youth
It will never be me
Days become years
Years become decades
Your mind and body will fade

Fear not life's conclusion
You're not going it alone
While some sprout and bloom
Others go to seed and wither away
It's just how it goes living life.

James..your story is of someone who lived their life as an observer on the sidelines! How odd to watch as life passes by. There is much truth in what you say about aging..however, although we do less, we still DO!
Hence bow flex, and walkers and plastic surgeons!
viagara, retinol, and AARP!
Thank you for your story. It has reminded me to keep on until I can't get my spoon to my face anymore. I think I will go out and celebrate in my rocker on the porch to Dueling Banjos! Now, where are my glasses so I can read your story again!
