the school days end
I stood on the corner as my pre-adolescent mind replayed the days events
It was during this period of reflection
that I saw you
As the car stopped I expected you to get out
Running to hold me and explain why you
had left me like that
With me cursing that which you had done had
taken my faith in God
I had so much to say as the stalled car
started and pulled away
The emotions then weren't unlike 5 years
earlier
When I touched your lifeless hand
and said good-bye to my mother

We hold back those feelings and emotions, yet one day they all are released. I feel yours always.
