Array ( [sid] => 181010 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Philosophy? What's that? [time] => 2015-04-15 07:25:36 [hometext] => Written in character as an incredibly ignorant, and for some reason hicky personality. I near-always try to avoid stereotypes, but for the sake of jokes and comedy, that's when it's fun to use them, especially if you don't believe in them. [bodytext] => Philosophy? What's that?
Is that some sort of college mumbo-jumbo?
Maybe even some Greek-styled gumbo?
Oh I think this one I know.

It's that weird way of questions, see?
Where you question everything, even how you be.
Someone asks you "how are you?"
And the only answer is "I don't know, and the Greeks didn't too."

Silly questions, like "What's it mean to be dead?"
Or "What can somebody call, the inside of their own head?"
Girly ones like, "What's pink, but an effeminate red?"
Shoot, all of them, just confuse me all instead.

So for philosophy, no thanks!
I'm gonna pick up some new propane tanks.
Yessir! I've got a lot to do.
Maybe watch tv, or maybe tie my shoes. [comments] => 6 [counter] => 232 [topic] => 7 [informant] => xHeathenx [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => HumorPoetry )

Who's on first?
What fun to dance with your philosophical quiz!
Is there a test??
I love the ending.. just plain slapstick poetry!
And to those who take life a bit too seriously--I prescribe reading this more than once. It takes genius to create the absurd, because first you have to edit out everything logical!!
Wonderful stuff.

I would rather go to Walmart and
then later go watch some reality television
and later still partake some some fine wine from a neighboring village while
listening to say twelve beautiful naked women playing
their hearts out to Tchaikovsky violin concerto - third movement - but I don't know why
they need all the greeters, to me it makes no sense
Peace!

Ha, the deep thinking southerner shares his thoughts. He questions and downplays the thinker, while standing in that box himself...as best as he possibly can. Although he is fit for a shallow stereotype, I see a philosopher emerging. Thanks for sharing! I loved the humour.
