As the sun sets over the horizon.
Shimmering in the distance like a diamond.
With all its beauty and power.
It withdraws from dust and flowers.
Making way for the moonlight.
Allowing free passage to the night.
This is the time for us to be quiet and reflect.
To sit with God and connect.
Be thankful that the cup passed us by.
That we're still here to see the stars in the sky.
There are those who may dread.
That the grim reaper will claim their head.
And others that fear no harm.
These are those who didn't submit to the world's charms.
Whatever we did this pass day.
We have no choice but to give way.
We have to go into this night.
And face the peace or the fight.
The best we can hope for,
Is to see the sun rise over the shore.

Oh, but there's so much more to hope for, and there's so much more to the people who stand out. While I may not agree with the premise, know that I very much enjoy the flowing and writing itself. I may not be religious, but things that are religious can possess beauty in and of them selves with ease. This is no exception. :)
