What is unity please?
Cause apparently I have no clue.
Does it mean singular?
Is the concept so unpopular?

Man I'm getting so frustrated.
At this puny way of thinking,
That the collective has.
For Pete sake leave behind what was.

We profess to be the superior species.
What on earth gave us that notion?
Yet we insist to go it alone.
Carrying our burdens like a giant stone.

I mean, come on seriously!
How the hell do we expect?
To escape out of this web.
How do we compute this in our heads?

Suddenly I'm at a loss for words.
I'm left speechless.
I throw in the towel.
I'm just gonna sit in this tree like a dumb owl!

Honestly, you lost me! lol, so much confusion within yourself in the poem, hence writing the poem as in a way many people feel at times, it pushed the feeling of confusion into me as well. Good write. Thanks for sharing!

We profess to be the superior species. There are days when I think humans are the lowest life form. I can also relate to the feeling like the only one who cares what happens to this world but I realize I'm wrong but again, I know the feeling. Hopefully that dumb owl won't be extinct in a few years. Don't throw the towel in just yet. We're not all losers but there definitely be some evil ***** in this world. Just gotta keep trying and keep praying. Nice poem, btw. Keepa writin'! Tim

Gotta say I enjoy this one as well too. I feel in my opinion, that in the grand scheme of what's what in the universe, I am nothing, insignificant, and in society, it doesn't matter much either. However, I do recognize my place and how I fit into it, to an extent. I think the positive side to this is, I'm not over glorifying myself, but at the same time, I'm selling myself short. Regardless of all this, I like the way I think, and just want to find a way to better appreciate my self and my identity, because while I may be loving of myself and appreciate who I am, with an outward confidence, that is constantly fleeting. So many contradictions are the man I am.

new trends in society have gone wildly array and i too, often
would love to be an owl in its tree, simply preening feathers....
