Time arrested in the air,
As a floating quotient.
The clock's tick stopped,
And seconds hang impaired
Like Samson's severed locks.

Save the broken day away,
And gather up a sliver
Or what shadow still persists
Of that which hasn't gone astray.
Troubled hours still exist,
For life is always bound to wither,

Echoes in a corridor that seems
To have no end;
Fruitless marching up and down
For truth that breaks and bends;
Trapped inside a clouded dream:
A picture without sound.

The heavy future falls
And breaks the mold.
Burdened is the mind
That builds its walls
Before the path unfolds.
An outcome unavoidable:
The blind shall lead the blind.

Powerful beginning and end. With desert in between. I enjoyed this.

Best,

Fox

if i were blind, i'd trust the blind.
i found your poem to be well-written.
thematic and dramatic, with a rigorous adherence to rhyme structure and such.
well done.

In just a moment...that one split second...your decision...could cost you your strength, then...thus weakened it's easy to become a sliver of who you once were....eventually, trapped, in your own mind, you become deaf...the future bleak as you realize how truly blind you've become.

(Hope you don't mind my interpretation of it...I read the poem and that just seemed to stand out to me, so I thought I'd share...)

Love the poem, great work!
