Warm and effervescent waves cascade around my ankles in a rhythmic dance
High above me a seagull's cries are carried away with the breeze
and a fiddler crab scurries off for the evening

The sun is slowly melting into the porcelain blanket of glass ,
Everywhere a glorious display of pink, orange and purple set fire to the sky ...
Silhouettes of a pair of dolphins enchanting finale displayed against God's curtain call's vibrant glow
I feel the sun's warmth on my face, and the heat and light in my eyes as I shut them

Now all I hear is the soft, hypnotic drone of waves, rush in, now back out, and then in again over my feet
The seagull cries have grown distant as the breeze carries him out to sea
I open my eyes to find the sun has melted away, and it is just me and the abyss
and it is times like this, moments such as these, that shows me God is amazing and beautiful

He also created crabs and look out, one is gonna bite your tootsies. ;-)

Seriously, though, such beauty and peace in this. You bring the reader there with you in this wonderfully painted poem.

Most excellent, my dear.

Thank you for this greatness.

Wow, book me 2 weeks in that place!!
I want to experience that sunset every night.
Loved the vivid imagery you freed with your pen, I was totally absorbed in the scene.
Lovely write

I knew just by the title that I would love this beautiful poem. Thank you for the zen-like peace your words painted for me. Wow! Such beauty. I do not live near an ocean, but I am fortunate enough to live wonderfully close to a lovely body of water that captures some exquisite sunsets. Water has such a soothing effect on the soul, and you did it great justice with this write.
Love this!
