Early in the evening
relaxation sits upon me well
Sitting in my chair so comfortably
from a hard day, you could hardly tell

Some days so hectic
some days too easy, was it a dream
Sometimes I just wonder about things
are they really what they seem

What is the given plan
that I follow as I walk this earth
I only know one thing
I have been on a mission ever since my birth

From being cradled and fed
to being educated and told what I need to do
I realize now
I was only being pushed, so I could make it through

From a stressed out mind
with just so many tasks having a deadline in which to perform
My body has taken a toll
relaxation is not an everyday norm

So I sit here with a smile on my face
past those days, when worrying of growing old
Past those days
of doing everything I am told

These are the days
when I do exactly what I want to do
I have made my quest in this world
it’s certainly okay to relax for a few
