being bored with no stories to tell
and always wondering
what was out in the world
far away from the country roads
and farmers fields.

Off I went with little a care
taillights fading into the night.
Off to bigger and better things
at least that was what I was thinking,
(Yea right)

I had adventures,fun and such.
Got shook by my boot straps a time or two.
Life of hard knocks rapping my head
leaving me feeling a bit blue.

Got taught a lesson or two
about wanderlust addiction.
The grass isn't always greener Im afraid
but hey when your young
the mind does play.

Now a story about roads of long ago
paths crossing again.
A new story book ending,
a blank page untouched
it isn't such a long way back home after all.

That's funny. I'm well aware there's more to life than my hometown, but I don't intend to leave with out a secure means of living elsewhere. A couple of my friends keep pressuring me to leave, but I tell them, not without safe means.

Regardless of experiences at home or elsewhere, we can find good times and memories, we just have to create them. :)

Shelley,
a very introspective, almost pensive account of the outward urge. Very much the experiences of my travels too. Look forward to Part Deux.
