Speak in their own way
Softly bending, rustling throughout the day

They tower high above
Other trees and shrubs
With a majestic view
Of the sky above

They gather whispers
Of the animals and life below
That includes me and you

They shade other life deep down below
Dropping bits of clear pristine dew
Nourishing the soil
So plant life can grow

The limbs gently caressed
By the warm summer breeze
Make the leaves dance with joy
Simplicity with ease

What a beautiful view
They do provide
Texturing the skyline
Shades of blue, green and gray.

A long-lived life
Filled with wisdom
Of all things
That reside below their canopies [comments] => 4 [counter] => 209 [topic] => 27 [informant] => JamesStockdale [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => NaturePoetry )

I like the way you added the wisdom of all things in that last stanza. Great finishing touch to a very enjoyable read!

Thanks,

Tim
