Freedom is freedom
but at a cost, it isn't free
Men and women forced to spill blood
family members and friends mourn on bended knee

Sorrows born
tear drops drained
A satin white pillow
from the teardrops stained

Gone forever
memories remain
Retribution in thought
it drives me insane

Realization over time sets in
loved one gone but forever we’ll cherish
Honoring the legacy they left
knowing in vain they did not perish

Every day I awake
I am thankful I am free
Something from sacrifice
by a loved one, you see

The freedom we have
to some may not seem like so
When you feel like this
maybe off to war you should go

When enough blood is spilled
and sacrifices given by more than many
I would say we do have freedom
to those of you who think we don’t have any

A message many need to hear.
Superb...........
When you take a country and dilute it with those that have not fought or sacrificed for it, then they have no clue on what made this country great.

Also we see more "takers" today then those that
contribute. When your enjoying the spoils of your American life, remember someone died so that
you may live this lifestyle. Nothing worth owning is free!
