Awake to the Dark

When darkness is the only light I see,
May the shadows come and live with me,
May I keep warm by the flames of shade,
And feed the hunger that will never fade,
Sleep in sheets of horror,
Serenaded by bloody laughter,
Awake to the dark,
Into the light I embark.

I really enjoyed the poem up until the line "sleep in sheets of horror". You were on the roll with an awesome poem with words that truly blended and flowed. Then somehow, you just went off track! Obviously you have talent for writing, that is for sure. I think you could rewrite this poem and it would be an awesome poem. However, this is just my opinion. Not trying to put you down in any way, just sharing my opinion.
