And getting older
Is something we all
Have to endeavour
One day we will
Take our last breath
And ageing is
Mother Nature's way
Of preparing us for death. [comments] => 6 [counter] => 240 [topic] => 48 [informant] => Kimmy79 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

A little pessimistic-sounding to me. I would consider age something else entirely, a progressively-monitorable clock, or even a warping of the body by way of wisdom.

But, may we age gracefully, despite our potential cease of beauty. :)

I think your poem is just fine! It is exactly how you feel and or view life as it may be for you and maybe many others! I think of it as a very good write. To whom wrote the last comment, remember, poetry is about the power of words and how they are used to grasp people. Everyone is not the same, however there are many people who view things in a similar way. This poem may have been depressing to you, but the words are merely expressing a sense of feeling. With that in itself, I see this as a good write!

Thank you for sharing.

Wayne

The whole process is kinda scary in my opinion. Definitely food for thought.

Thank you for an enjoyable read.

Come on Heathen....
This is smack in your face reality.
You are too young to get it.
Right on Kimmy.
