I was lost and that dragon watching in the dark sparking thoughts come alive and stutter around in the dark, aimlessly dancing in and out of awareness. I exist somewhere amongst them peacefully drifting away, I who feeds the dragon and he hungers for his food, food for thought, the hungry dragon calls me back and I go to the peace into the dark into the inner world safely drifting with its creatures. Alone I lay amongst them, they would not exist were it not for me who gives them life, this life which shines through pinging eyes, beauty their invention, they seek it creating it out of whatever lays or moves or's still. The dragon lends me his eyes through these I not only see but hear and touch and even feel, my world is calmer through these eyes and more gentle for me to lay down in. A fire is stoked once it has been teased into life, the fire softly lights the world it gives off smoke that's good to breathe it warms the abyss of the soul and soothes the hungry dragon with it's warming glow. Then just for a while and not a while longer we forget that we exist and sink into the sultry abyss' peaceful bliss, we sink deep and find a kind of sleep we are sleeping whilst awake our eyes are the dragon's, dreaming in the deep. This is absolutely the finest 'addiction' poem I have ever read. You’re s is a raw and rare talent. I know addiction- we're old friends, and I have written of my own dragon.

Thank you for such precise definition, clothed in artistry.
