it’s out there,
quite near
up high and down;
across the way
on the path,
straight along around

they wait for you
with open arms,
smiles and hugs
and happy yarns;
kisses warm as Summer rain
a step or two across the Plain

so cut the chord,
breathe the last
let go the present and the past;
hear the laughter on the air
away and fly,
you’re almost there.

it’s out there,
quite near
up high and down;
across the way
on the path,
straight along around

they wait for you
with open arms,
smiles and hugs

What a wonderful read! Uplifting, encouraging, and musical.
Seems we get as far as we think we deserve to get..then we stop trying cause we've "made it".
