Bestow the night
the wind howls and its blistering cold
The tree branches crack
sitting here all alone is mighty bold

Shivering a bit
while trying to start a small fire
Not feeling afraid and alone
my minds depth of thinking can inspire

The wilderness is my friend
as I am not its enemy in any way
My fire has started
I have been allowed to stay

On guard are the creatures
all that roams the forest at night
They know I’m here as a friend
of me they have no fright

Staying low to the ground
built a shelter among the trees
Where I can try to be warm
away from the winter breeze

Mountaineering is my life
my hobby and true love of all
I love listening to the nature
and the sound of a wolves call

Dressed warm, I’m able to sleep well
in the arms mother nature has opened to me
It is a special way of life
one away from modernization and technology

The nature offers freedom
peace in mind, so good for health
Better than technology
that causes so much evil built on mighty wealth

I like the simplicity of your poem. I am reminded of words I wrote not so long ago in poems like "Walking in the Woods' and "From the Dead of Winter"

". . . Nature truly takes away my blues"
From "Walking in the Woods" By Archie Brown

"A blanket covers all the earth
beneath it man and beast do sleep
I smell the sweet and fragrant mirth
A peace to me my soul bequeath"

From "From the Dead of Winter" By Archie Brown
