Trash Talk

Contributed by hauntedscorp on Saturday, 6th December 2014 @ 05:23:19 PM in AEST
Topic: toughstuff

Your hatred of me bites down,
Fiercely, and without mercy.
I hate you for hating me.
Insane-
Let me enter my plea.

Scraping by on your love scraps,
You win again when fear traps,
My own personal road map.

Trapped in your gaze-
Demanded. Or reprimanded,
Love taps two-handed,
Or, double fisted. Don't get it twisted-
Nothing auspicious.

Collecting dust are your love scraps,
Your kiss makes my lips chap,
Strong hands hold my body trapped.

My loyalty your mighty sword-
Wielding with disturbed aplomb.
Constricted to my innards,
By icy fingers,
The sting of your love lingers.

Smaller and smaller become the scraps,
You pushed a button to make me snap-
Not taking anymore of your crap.

I'm loving the message! Here you bring us into your life, living on scrapes and leftovers of love..held by your own loyalty..and "icy fingers"..
Until the triumphant ending when there is not enough sustenance to remain! Your last 3 lines are a wise warning to those who wipe their boots upon us.
It is a paradox that the "dominant abusers" are the weak ones. Shame that we can't see that until we leave them. With no one to "rule" they are nothing. Kings without countries.
So who needed whom! Bravo for this reminder so well penned.

Oh my God!!! This is a masterpiece of emotion. vividly tangible stuff. definitely angry and bitter, but also resolute.

Trapped in your gaze-
Demanded. Or reprimanded,
Love taps two-handed,
Or, double fisted. Don't get it twisted-
Nothing auspicious.

Collecting dust are your love scraps,
Your kiss makes my lips chap,
Strong hands hold my body trapped.

My favorite lines

Some of this is sad but love the conclusion!!!

You have this talent of rhyme that never seems forced and makes absolute sense.

Then this > My loyalty your mighty sword . Wonder how many of us can relate to that?!?! And then how many of us want to steal that line?

And then to snap and be resolved not to take that crap anymore!!!???!!! That's strength!

*random hug*

Thank you for sharing the Scorperrific talent we all look forward to.

First I would like to say wow what an awe inspiring write, powerfully cleansing .
I really hope this is not something you are living now no one deserves to be abused either by physical action or uncaring words I can relate I lived verbal abuse for many years but like you said finally snapped and found my way out you send a powerful message both to the abused and the abuser it should be heard by all.

Holy She-ite! Like kmec1990 said, I hope you aren't in this now. Not assuming so. I read almost all your posts, and I haven't gleaned this level of despair in your writings until this.

I write of things I've never been in, never experienced at all. I find it fun and interesting to place myself in these imagined shoes and see how they fit.

This is one heck of a poem. If you ARE going through this, then what a dunderhead you have with you. You are so cool, smart, wise and deep, it's difficult to envision you with a clod. But hey, Ford made the Pinto, so anything is possible, eh?

good for you! i hope the last line remains true- was
going to suggest you take up martial arts or
something if your staying with this person, i seriously
want to punch him in the mouth and i don't know
him! this poem is beautifully emotion filled tho scary,
no woman {or anyone or animal} should ever feel
trapped and so scared, and i'm worried for you, just
the other day i swear you wrote a love poem, i'm so
confused, just please be safe and keep writing,

hugs n' love nessa

p.s. hands you a big stick

Tremendous stuff, and powerfully cathartic. It's hard to find the strength required when we feel so deeply, but find it we must. Judging by the last line: you found it sure enough.
