Array ( [sid] => 179916 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Betting on the winner [time] => 2014-12-02 01:41:49 [hometext] => Yesterday it seemed tome that what we call elections are far more of a lottery system. Promising everyone winnings, while only a few actually do [bodytext] => 'The elections' are coming close,
every party will endorse it's candidates.
The choose who will run for office,
while we get to cast a vote.

It often turns out to be a surprise,
or so it seems.
And everyone is placing a bet,
but most of us are had in the end.

It's a lot of smoke and mirrors,
trying to confuse the masses.
Most of us are gambling,
round after round.

It's like a lotterysystem,
promising everybody a fortune.
That's what's got us hooked.
But most of us are dooped.

Cuz the game is rigged.
Just like in the casino,
where the cards are always
stacked in favor of the house.

The cance we get the right man or woman for the job,
trough elections as we know them
Is just as staggering as when a random gambler,
goes to Vegas coming home with a fortune.

Like any casino,
they keep you betting.
They keep you hoping.
And it costs a fortune.

But he, who goes home with the winnings?
But the clever people who got the game rigged in their favor.
While we the people are left behind.
We might as well flip a coin every time.

Casting a vote,
ending up with someone's front man or woman.
Is it ever a real succes,
or are there just smoke and mirrors to confuse us?

Who knows who really wins,
while we are betting?
Who knows the people behind the front man or woman?
The ones who collect their winnings.

While we pay the price,
time and time again.
Nowadays it's just a public sham.
Cuz most of us are had.

And still we act like gamblers,
placing one more bet.
Still hoping we are gonna win this time.
But we rarely ever get more then a dimes worth.

Why do we even place another bet?
Even when we know we have been had,
over and over again.
While only the few collect their winnings.

Cuz they got the game rigged in their favor,
leaving nothing to chance.
While most are taking the risk of loosing it all.
Often ending up broke in the end.
