Cochlea crystal staircase
take me down, anyplace-
set me leave me all traces gone,
this climb deep into forlorn.
Pieces of me left on the trail to get here-
to reach the point where I'm looking down
deep into the ground of me,
Tell me please, what do I see-
is there really any point?
Just trappings of the person I am,
laying discarded where I left them to rot,
but in my haste to change I forgot
to never leave myself alone,
every piece of me, every bone-
This time I start again, retracing every step,
pulling from the stairs those pieces of me-
the one's only I can see...
and here I go again...
into the Stairwell for another swim-
going in to the night....
where my demons romp and play-
they always seem to get their way-
but it won't happen every time,
there comes a time
when I'll give it all away, and nothing
any demon can say
will bring me back to
hot breath and pieces
at the bottom of the cave. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 187 [topic] => 66 [informant] => Invierno [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => drugabuse )

It sounds like a lonely place, friend.

Thanks for posting.

"Where the demons romp and play"
"Just trappings of the person I am"
Haunting journey into your nightmare! Leaving pieces behind as burnt offerings?
Is the price of returning worth what we return to?
I'll take my worst reality over my demons anytime!
Food for thought once again! A provocative question!
