She's haggard, you see
Ripened from her dreams unmet,
Victim of regret.

There's a mirror reflection-
Fading out, I fear
Ghostly image still remains
Spirit still enchains

There's a mirror reflection
Looking back at you-
Sneering as you disappear,
Crying insincere

There's a mirror reflection
Staring blank across,
Reflecting eternities-
Sorry for your loss.

This has got to be one of the best (if not the best as I recall no others) poems about looking in the mirror and seeing who, or what, is looking back at you! It actually made me feel like crying.

Perfection from the one and only, PerfectoScorp.

I feel this intensely. I feel the reflected me looking back in jest, taunting me for my lack. Some days I have to will myself to look away from the reflections of my failures. It is a hard place to be. We have to examine ourselves to be better, but looking at that pile of waste is hard hard hard.

Well done! I like it. Kind of forlorn, but there you have it. Poetry isn't all sweet song and flowers.
