Stuck in my routine
Rigid even in my dreams
My life defined by structure
A misstep away from destruction

Never giving in to the spontaneous
Or anything that might have been extraneous
Focused on my taks like a laser beam
No time this day, not a a second, to daydream

I must make myself into a man
And pull myself out of the routine quicksand
Oh why, why can't I understand?
For Lennon said, "Life happens when you are making plans."

Good theme and point driven home in a most entertaining way.
"I must make myself into a man"..perhaps those are someone else's words that you are writing about? One day (the song goes) you wake up sleeping with yourself.
Thank you for the reminder that one size doesn't fit us all! I love the way you put it between the lines.
