Are always nice, in your world.

Where trust returns with the child and

Ageing blinkers blind you to the

Wolves!

They arrive in packs salivating at the

Smell of your vulnerability,

And I can't be there every hour

To protect you.

Vultures to pick old bones.

Easy pickings!

Preying on those society fails to

Protect!

They can hound you to death

With no murmur from those

Who can leash them.

No law, no protection just

Your open door to welcome

The SCUM!

Feeding off your

Certainly I can tell you that I have trust issues. Ive found that it's the most insecure people may be the vultures that you are referring to. A great write.

This brought to mind something I was forced to do back in 2006 because my Mom's dementia got so bad. We had to trick her, for one, into putting her into a care center. She would not go willingly. So that itself was a very difficult thing to do...I felt like I betrayed her in some way. Then, there was the chore of trying to move her stuff from her apartment into a storage facility. Not everything was going to fit and neither my sister or I had room for all of it. So, we decided to give it some of it to the surrounding neighbors and they swooped in like vultures picking at your flesh. :( It was horrid. Only one lady there asked about my Mom and how she was doing. The rest of the ol' bats just wanted her stuff and were fighting over it. They too were scum...sad sad people.

There are angels and then there are the beasts, the vultures no one should trust.

Great poem that provoked thought and emotion in me.

Thank you,

Tim

Your words are validated by the energy I expend to ignore your warning! I know the vultures are out there..but I dislike the knowledge!
When we lock all the doors at night to keep them out--we cage ourselves. Are we safe?
A delicate balance lies in the offering. Risk the wolves, or live in absentia.
A provocative rif to be enjoyed with a side dish of denial! Well done! softerware

Sounds like you know this from real experience. A hard truth and well expressed at that. innocence ruined from cold hard realities. people using people for their selfish gains

Hi,

The vulnerable - the easiest of targets in order
to justify one's 'raison d'etre.'

Governments do it too - and by doing so, is
testament to Governmental failures.
