I hear it as clear as day
Then I realize you’re not hear anymore
the good Lord took you away

The sound of your voice is not a bother
it is a very pleasant memory in my head
As I often ponder on our conversations
and about many of the things you have said

A very special and loving person
you were to everyone you knew
You had a special gift
helping other people is what you loved to do

You cared about family and friends
you kept all of your priorities straight
You always kept your calm
when people did things that made you want to hate

Realizing your life was being cut short
there was nothing that any of us could do
You remained vigilant my friend
as we all prayed to God for you

We were all hanging on to hope
that a miracle would come your way
The Lord had a different plan
but you’re forever in our hearts and minds to stay

As I hear your voice
I remember that smile on your face
I and many others are sad that you’re gone
but we know you are in a much better place

There never seems to be any reason why some people pass before their time while others seem to go on forever.
Perhaps the key to your longevity is not the age you live to but how long your memory lives on when you are gone.
I guess your friend has left a legacy in the minds of others.
Touching write

Steve
