Nowadays, those are far and few
The ticking time bomb of a clock.
Merchandised until out of stock

Do circumstances ever change?
Familiarity becomes strange-
Hopes pinned on one more stolen breath.
Amid binge vices chasing death

I'm still here for another round
Both feet planted firmly on ground
From this day I would like to flee-
Oh yeah; happy birthday to me.

When I initially read this, I had no words. I just looked at the screen and thought...aw. :( *teary eyed*

But you do indeed have "both feet planted firmly on ground!!!"

I can remember spending Christmas Eve alone. I remember someone yelling at me the day before my birthday and telling me what a loser I am. That type of stuff can make these days worse but our content of character keeps us a goin'! You rock and I rock. Life can suck be we keep pushin. Writing helps too.

Keepa a writin' and keepa rockin'.

And happy anniversary celebrating your grand enrty into this world!

I feel this. Well done. Sad for you though; it's a crappy way to feel, but a feeling nonetheless. You've done an expert job capturing that.

Hey there

Happy birthday to you have a kick ass one my friend. I'm a trucker and have spent countless months and even years alone. Never nice be it by choice or by slice. None the less not nice. I truly hope you get to spend time with people that you matter to. God bless

Greetings
Rus

A sad day for melancholia to rear its head, but you capture it so well. Hey, I know that room, that screen, that keyboard, and those binge vices. Writing is a lonely business at the best of times , guess it has to be that way.
Grand write, as always, Scorpers, and a belated happy birthday from me.
