The heart so easily placed, we wonder why it's so fragile.
We give it away with wishes of strength,
Only to come back tough from scars.

True love if used right can manipulate the most centered mind.
It can take strength and regurgitate weakness.
Intelligence to blindness.
Bring one from joy to misery.
With only a few words.

Now not all love comes with such a jagged edge.
It is gentle in the right hands.
A sweet whisper of the lovers name in the breeze.
Soft strokes on midnight skin.
Passion within the eyes, taste of the soul quivering on the lips.

For me the answer is simple.
My heart freshly broken, shards dug in my knees.
Eyes without tears as the pain has been a long winding road.
This answer came with a price and a final note.

In time I shall be seeking a fresh question.
Looking for the hearts fire.
Until than I shall attempt to stand.
Once i mender this fragile frame.
Waiting for the right kiss.

Yes. We must use caution with whom we give away our most precious gift of self to. Sometimes, it gets returned, a little worse for wear. Then we put on a brave face, sew it back up, and try again.

I really enjoyed this poem. Keep writing it out.

They say Love is blind and that one would do anything in the name of it. I very much enjoyed they way you wrote the various outcomes of giving, receiving, and truly feeling Love.

Always,
