It hurts to be lonely

Especially after all I have tried

Oh! How it hurts to be so lonely

For you I have cried and cried

The loneliness will never die

No! Not as long as you are gone

The tears flow as for you I cry

In song my heart pines along

My heart is meant for you

Oh! How it hurts to be so lonely

Will you see what I have tried to do

In words I express I am lonely

It hurts to be so lonely for you

I do not see the Sun as it shines

For you were my light, I am so blue

and in the dark of loneliness my heart pines

Oh Darling what do I do now

As I go on pining over you

The loneliness has me down now

Memories of you, oh those memories of you!

Good job my friend. I feel your pain and I know what you are feeling.. It's hard to put yourself out there open and compromised.. Thats when we are at our weakest and most vulnerable. Just know that one way or the other, it gets better..

I Like your poem. his reminds me of a song I wrote this year

"Everyone feels lonely
at times in their lives
Everyone needs someone
to give them wisdom or advice
When they feel that they have no one
Why do I stand idly by
When everyone feels lonely sometimes"

Excerpt from 'Everyone Feels Lonely" By Archie Brown
