Happy Feet

Contributed by Invierno on Wednesday, 15th October 2014 @ 05:36:38 PM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

Slip and slap go happy feet-
toes find and squish the earthy peat,
'neath heel, sole and soul as well-
this simple joy unfolds and spells
the essence of our Mother Earth;
so simple, swell to reconnect,
to tap the space 'tween birth and death.

So well described that I could smell the mud and sweetness of the earth. Your closing line is classic Invierno--leaving us with a profound moment to consider!

Really beautiful :)

Rain and natures beauty all around can set the poetic mind ablaze. Great visuals, flows nicely, and no wasted words.

Great job.
