Abbaye aux Hommes in Caen, France gave
“secours” to Laurence, England’s warrior great.
Monastery provided place near nave
to make arrangement crossing English strait.
Ships wanted, carrying knights and horses weight,
impedimenta needing extra care.
All aims dependant, waiting weather’s fate.
Against inclement weather they must dare.
With highest hope, King Laurence wishes day is fair.
