Array ( [sid] => 179311 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Hey Mom.... [time] => 2014-09-20 16:18:26 [hometext] => My mother was and still is the best mother a boy could have and she was a wife to my dad like none other. A beautiful lady! [bodytext] => 19:09:2014....

Watching my mother doing washing.
Next the floors they need mopping.
As a boy of only ten.
I was taken back again and again.
This here must be the most beautiful lady.
I was convinced that was no maybe.
She laboured day after day.
Always had a kind word to say.
What mother did for us was done with love.
She had plenty, more than enough.
I thought to myself mom had all the right stuff.
I stood there and said hey mom.
One day I want a wife like you mom.
She looked at me with tears in her eyes.
Then she said wouldn't that be first prize.
But why would you want a woman like me.
Well mom everything I see.
You love my dad.
Yes I know sometimes he makes you mad.
When ever I'm down and heartbroken.
All I need to hear is your voice the word spoken.
Well I want a wife like you.
One day that can love me too.

What a sweet, touching melody to your mom. It made my breath catch because it is what all mom's hope for. You paint a vibrant picture of a loving, caring woman who was also your mom. Very very nice write, P

This describes how I feel about my mom. She's done so much for me - & my sister & brother.

Absolutely beautiful!

Stunning. Speaking as a mom myself, who could wish for more? Speaking as a daughter, I wish I had said it so well.
I envy the richness of your life, bestowed on you by a woman who loved you so, that you are able to give words to feelings for those of us who would, but cannot.
