When my tide recedes from shore,
laying bare the creepy crawly things,
revealed by the stripping bare
of my heart,
my soul where truth rings clear;

That day, I mind less and less,
when my final leaf falls from my tree,
for with the passing tides and Falls,
I've come to know the real me.

From friends heard here, and wisdom's pearls,
upon my ears, the truth unfurls;
Perhaps, perhaps I'm not so bad, not the cad I hold me to?
It's so hard to hold a praise to heart,
but my soul is cleansed enough to start. [comments] => 5 [counter] => 236 [topic] => 21 [informant] => invierno [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

Hi there bud

I had to look at this one very closely. Much to ponder. One must be very careful when commenting on others feelings.

There comes a time in every mans life. When we evaluate our self we take stock. Its a time of unconditional honesty with our self. This is the day we accept our self for who we are and make peace with it. This is also the day we truly start to live. Its when we realise we are only human and will make mistakes. However we also realise we can learn from these mistakes and better our self not for others but for our self. There is good and bad in everything in life. We just need to choose which we will be. So when people see good in you. Take it to God and he will show you the truth. As long as you see the good in you and believe then you will be just fine on your journey. I hope I haven't over analysed this one. God bless

Greetings
Rus

That last stanza I can really relate to. I Can never hold a complement and I'm overly self critical
