Wow! I feel MUCH better now. lol. I like this poem. It's dark and depressing, but well written and succeeds in capturing the despair quite nicely.

Well done.

I too like this very much. It transcends something many would never say aloud most days.
I used to think that it was a psychological experiment, working for the corporate and all.
When I was kid, we kids would come together in the Summer and build all kinds of things in a nearby field. Not for any money, we were just into it and we'd stick together and work each project out all by ourselves. We built a cool sod house, then later one Spring when the field was mostly flooded, we built a really cool fort, with a drawbridge.
Then we built a great baseball field and played in our own made up league all day long. You know, people like to be apart of something and genuinely make something with other people. But at the end of the day,
the bottom line or working for the shareholder
seems so incomplete. And way too many people are not given a helping hand.
Best times in my neighborhood where I now live have been when there's been a power outage and we all came out of our houses and yes, enjoyed each others company.

They own you... that's the problem I would agree!

Peace!

Brings to mind George Orwell's 1984 to me somehow.
We are all someone's slave, we don't always realise it until we stop to think.
Nice write.
