To be taught fundamentals for living, There was adventure and health You had to have wealth, Recognition, security, and giving. There was one they forgot and, like it or not, Accounts for the mayhem and killing, The schools do not teach it, Religion doesn't preach it, And nobody cares or seems willing. What it is they forgot and I..like it not Is respect for the people around you, Let's not kill our good brother nor kill one another nor those that remotely surround you. There'd be no Pearl Harbor, or bombs that could clobber, We'd all clasp each other and play, Life would be simple, At worst, a stray pimple, Would spoil our beautiful day. It could be, Don't you see, You're related to me and me be to he and he be to she and she be to thee. and around and around we'd be bound, we'd be bound.
