I'm trapped inside
No place to hide

How do you get away from your own thoughts?
I thought I could escape but I'm still caught,
how do you tear down the walls you create?
In this self made prison of doubt and hate,
I've been pushing people away just to see if they will stay,
but as soon as they are gone, I'm alone and I'm afraid,
Can someone help me escape? I feel so ashamed,
I broke my own heart but can't handle the pain.

There is no one left to help me live,
I tried to repent but it's too late to forgive,
I don't love me, but my love for them is strong,
It's not returned, I pushed too hard, now they're gone.
So many chances I let just pass by,
Now no one is left to say goodbye,
No one to miss me, no one to know,
I broke my own heart when I could have just grown.

Someone save me
From myself
Someone care enough
...Someone help!
There's no one here
No one to hear
no one to see
to wipe the tears
to sooth the fears
to say 'I'm here'
to hold me near
no one is here...

these prison walls are far too tight
I'm trapped inside,
No place to hide.

Been there. Imagine for yourself, the person you want be. Then fight for the changes necessary to become that person..

That path is mined with failures. It's up to your gut, to deliver you.

You built it. You can tear it down, and build something new.

dearest phil, i'm so happy to see a post from you, tho i just want to
give you a huge hug sweetie, you are such a compassionate soul,
always writing such beautiful poetry from your heart, and when that
heart is breaking mine hurts too, until you decide to let the walls
down enjoy the solitude for writing, reading, smell the flowers, and
honey remember, everyone loves you here!

love and big hugs nessa x

Hello Phil

Don't think we have met here yet. Don't recall reading any of you work either. Must say I'm very pleased I took a look at this piece. Brilliant write pity its such a sad subject. However I would like to say you and you alone can walk out of that prison. You hold the key to the door. I know it's easy for me to speak because I'm not the one in there. The crucial thing to remember is no one has left you. Your blinded by plain just like a window that stained with grit and grime you can't see through it. Clean the window and you will see all who cares for you waiting for you to emerge. Be strong and again brilliant write. Blessings

Greetings
Rus

Yeah, what Nessa said!

And then this:

This sort of reminded me of your member name...you, the write, are lost in yourself. Awesome poem!

You are a sweet lady and one of the most caring people I know. Also one of the best poets here and it shows in this. No matter what we go through it makes for some great poetry in action.

*hugs*

Love ya' Phyllis!

Wow. This is very well done.
So often I`ve found it`s hard to maintain the emotional strength when coupling it with rhyme. Yours blends in beautifully
And, I hope you broke out.
