gratitude floated wave to wave, 'ere traverse Atlantic's deep.
Miracle of miracles, he sends I'm reading 'fore tea set to me. As quick as thought it seems!
One of the first commenter’s to my work (not work really..hush! Don't tell!)
as i see it kind they were,
far from silly, vacuous words,
indeed of praise and ringing bells.
Far from domed thinning mantle mine, (Brain I incumbent share)
Ahktamova or Pasternak's Russian crown ever now but distant shine of distant age,
(and that's okay thru 50 years, umbrage dwindled; donning wisdom am I of the sage),
But oh! my thirties, how I raged, convinced (SO SURE!) my name be seen on every page...
such foolishness, oh vilest age, trapped in tempered ego's cage,
But reading here at times, a creeping smile slips past frown...
the joy (my marrow sings!) of knowing when a poem is RIGHT,
correct...prescient and speaks to multitudes....
ah, the blessings...
but I digress!
I'm here right now to thank not RR,
having done,
but of YOU, all the rest
that keep me posting, making friends...
this site is manifest, swimming in good will, yet
gulping addiction has to me become...literary crack- no smoke yet stronger thrill;
Nessa, Softerware, Tim, and more,.
kudos shared; I pray you write- critique of praise or critics skewer,
either great as better I for the write, no words here spoke truer. I like this poem not just because it mentions me (YAY!!!) but the style and sentiment that is contained within. I have made many a friend (long lasting at that) here and joined because of a dear one. YPDC is like a large family (sometimes dysfunctional, always wise).

Thank you, as well. It is an honor to know you!

Tim

your joyful happiness is radiating off this poem all over the place;
like tim and his yay says- we are a family here- to know us is to
love us: always having arms spread wide to add to the flock, ...today
is the 4th of july----> independence day, but i never want to be independent
of ypdc or genuine friends like you,

hugs n' love nessa

My dear friend

What a wise poem. We all need each other at some stage in life. That is the human way. What we also need is encouragement and praise. Yes and YPDC is an awesome society to belong to a family of friends some face to face and some only by pen none the less a beautiful place to be. Thank you from all of us for your post. Blessings

Greetings
Rus

Like this thak you poem too, like its French which I pronounce horridly... yes the ages and how they drive us or don't, the wheels spinning or when they just won't, or the flat tire feeling stranded, missing all that hot tube air, especially when it's needed most and with no patch in sight.
oh dear Russia, old d, Dostoyevski or however it is he liked it to be spelled, Dear Anton Chekhov
How you do see, so well in any language
Yes, yes, yes...

do swim,
it does sooth the soul so very well...

paint us a picture slower still as we age
so it might

I thank all those who post on this site, so many, who could imagine
and they said it couldn't happen here...

we are all addicted to things that ain't that good, the worse are the ones who point the fingers and fail to listen

I come here to learn!

Peace!

AHH that feeling of sweet release as we share with our fellow ypdc poets about the feel and flow of the ypdc experience is so beautiful....well Done.

I love this style you are using! It sways between a porch conversation and rhythmic philosophy like old friends in rocking chairs sharing an evening of remembering. I never became what I wanted to be; but came to find who I was eventually. It is reassuring to know that although we rail against our youthful learning "such foolishness, oh vilest age, draped in tempered ego/'/s cage", it is a right of passage for all.
You have hung your heart on your sleeve for friends with this elegant testimony, and I am honored to be on your list!
