I don't know how your love was lost. You don't say. This is a very sad poem however very good expression and deep emotions. Love lost in any form is a tragedy of epic proportions. Love is a most precious gift. Blessing

to me this poem is not sad. I feel very inspired by it. I know those feelings of desperation when we are ready to lose it all as long we can just hold onto the memories and a love that has made us feel complete. your subject line sums it up wonderfully. "they can take it all, just don't take that please."
