Economic Slavery.

Smiles empty, yet wrapped in gold.
Slippery truths never told.
Quiet, lonely. lost and cold.

Taped to a chair. Unfamiliar scene.
Blood in the air. He'll make her free, clean.
Tangled in hair a hatchet unseen. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 121 [topic] => 43 [informant] => CMOLINA [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

I'm seeing the Man standing smiling out of sick pleasure, or rather enjoying things in his favor, the gold grill on his teeth to represent what luxury and money he has that we do not. The reality of the situation is not made aware to anyone else, but the man, as the woman has been tied and killed. The tying to the chair is a metaphor for prison, or police interrogation, the line "Quiet, lonely. Lost and cold" to represent that we are all slaves kept separate, despite the fact that we're near each other every day.
The hatchet, a tool, representing our work we go through for the simplest of means, are ultimately what's used to murder us.

Quite a clever and surprisingly profound message for just so few of words. Very well done. :D
