Ek gaan jou drukkies en soentjies mis.
Dis weg voor die warm son se oggend mis.
Ons was net nege jare gegun.
Weet nie hoekom maak nie sin.
Vir ewig sal ek onthou die dae.
Wat jy so liefdevol kom vra.
Is daar iets wat ek vir mamma kan doen.
Ja my kind net n drukkie en n soen.
Jou pragtige maniere.
N seun sonder geite en gure.
Soggens vroeg as ek ontwaak wag ek vir jou lag.
En jou mooiste glimlag so sag.
Maar tervergeefs dis nou heen.
En ek vra God vir krag om my te ondersteun.
Hoe gaan ek lewe sonder jou.
Om mee saam te sing en vashou.
In moeilike dae het jy opgestaan.
Mamma se bulletjie my groot man.
Mamma het nog n troos.
God se tuin het nou die mooiste roos.
Jy is nou n engel in God se leer.
Een dag my liewe kind sien ek jou weer.
