The memory room

Contributed by g6379 on Wednesday, 28th May 2014 @ 08:46:40 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Fascination with love,
Combines the senses,
Falling far away,
False pre-tenses.

Lost in oblivion,
Faster than light,
Chemical pandemonium,
Darkness in the night.

Anthropomorphic illusions falsify,
The combination of alcohol with lust,
Cold and calculating,
The expectation of trust.

Locked in a memory room,
Objects of condemnation,
Broken images follow,
Harsh realisation.

Denial, deadly denial,
Momentous, conditional feelings,
Length and lost tides,
Etched dreaming.

Fascination with love,
A battle with the senses,
Calling the sound,
Until you meet the defences.

A crashing, disconnection of hate,
Confusion, in-elegantly opportunistic,
Fashioned between a catalytic combination,
Almost sadistic.

Time, closes doors,
Passing forward and down,
Settled more than one can provoke,
Happiness construed around.

The balance was restored,
The memory room abandoned again,
To be occupied once more,
Associations remain.

Trippy, man. I like it. It takes a few reads to comprehend, but then, most good poems do.

Thanks for sharing this.

Best,

Invierno

A poem, a memory, fragments of a tale..many options for the reader to approach your write and feel the intensity. Second read takes us deeper down into the heart to unravel the path. This is a window with many views which engages by sketching the bones, and leaving the flesh to our interpretation!
